Do I run screaming in terror?

I just searched back through some earlier posts and saw the costs ranging from near nothing to around250 or 300 on average.

I'll definitely shop around but this does seem out of line, right? It includes (I hope!) the boat costs (owned by the LDS anyway) and air.

My AOW ran $150 plus the written materials. Boat charges could add a great deal, depending on how many trips were involved.

It'd be reasonable to ask exactly what the thousand bucks pays for. :11:

$975. sounds like a family rate.

Sounds like the PADI business plan.

Sure they did not mean £97.50
Even if it was one on one that would be expensive.

Without knowing what's included it's difficult to comment.
It's even possible that's an all-inclusive course for a new diver to take him through OW and AOW including all the boat trips, materials etc, in which case it may well be a good deal.

As for paying near nothing, well, maybe you know the saying, "If you pay peanuts you'll get monkeys".

My LDS quoted me $125 + the books for PADI AOW. I am expected to supply the equipment.
