Ok, I have an 80/3K aluminum tank that is BRIGHT green. I use this to charge a Pcp air rifle. I asked the store owner if it was OK, and was told a light scuffing of the paint=No problem, If I sand the tank down=hole in tank. SO, I am hopeing to get opinions on using a chemical paint stripper. I can't see it harming the aluminum. Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

How about a steel tank? Would heat be a enemy or is steel stronger?
