I want to go diving in Monterey tomorrow 10-11-04 Any local opinions?

I was hoping to go out to Montery tomorrow. I got the day out of the office, and well a chance to go diving in Monterey sounds great. Since it is a Monday, no crouds to deal with, and parking should be easy.
So how are the conditions over there?
I heard there has be swells.
So any local Montery opinions?

It was pretty ugly there this weekend, though today was better than yesterday. Not sure what tomorrow will bring. The vis was soup (Breakwater at 40 feet was usually five; Stillwater before we aborted was ZERO) and the dive sites we know were pretty bad. A dive instructor we were talking to at Breakwater said Monastery was absolutely brutal and the Coast Guard had a boat at the ready to go in for people. Lover's was undiveable when we saw it today, very nasty yesterday though we saw two floats waaay out there.

Last weekend, it was absolutely stunning! So, I don't know if you want to go or not. There should be diveable sites but the vis is crap and the swell is, I think, still pretty high.

me and 2 other dive buddies where at breakwater yesterday and the condition was bad but diveable. 10'-15' vis at the mertridium field and 5'-10' vis at the breakwater wall, condition around 4pm was alot calmer.
