Hello,

I am seeking a position as a hull cleaner in and around san diego. I have been diving for nearly 5 years. Currently in Commercial dive school as well. I really just want to be in the water making money. I am a very hard working, and always do a good job.

Please feel free to send any information my way you may have for a position.

Thank you for you time

Just go down to the marina and ask around. You might even find more interesting work in the process. You will get requests to search for things dropped in the water next to the dock. I once found a large diamond engagement ring and even reconnected a prop on a large yacht. I did some hull cleaning and dock repair too, but there are better ways to make money around a marina, depending on your skill set.

As far as price, find out what it costs per foot to haul a boat and clean the hull and start with about 1/3 of that because that's your competition.

I think you will find lots of demand for this as time passes. Not very many people qualified to do this and most divers do not want to do this. If you have not done it yet, prepare to wear something that will keep the barnacle particles off of your skin. They itch like crazy.

If you place a posting on Marina bulletin boards, you will get calls.

If I were to do this, I would make time to explore the bottom under boats in Marinas. Angry relationship partners are prone to throwing valueble items in the water.
