I'm a Fish!
So I'm out diving with my Wife and friends at Ulua tonight and when we get shallow we see a pair of lights headed out. Shakas were flashed all around of course and the 4 of us get out and the outbound divers go have fun.

Then I see the Shaka Bus in the parking lot.

I hope you had as good a dive as we did. We didn't see a single turtle tonight but we saw tons of eels and a squid thingy kept bouncing off of my light canon. It looked a lot like love.

Hey Al! Yeah, that was us....really cool dive. The fourth one of the day for us. (We started out the day on B&B's "Kilikina" for a two tanker. That was real nice. My guests really thought the B&B guys were extra helpful. Good conditions for a boat trip...anyway...) We were gonna dive Makena Landing at first but it was washed out with some "south-swell-super-murk". Ulua wasn't bad at all. No turtles for us either but we did find a slipper lobster and a whole lot of eels. I saw your light cannon from miles away...kind of made me feel sorry for the others with you with regular lights. Those things really put out. I heard that you have to apply sunscreeen to the fish before you look at him with one of those!

How many more dives are you gonna make while you're here? I'll be down at the south beaches for most of this weekend into Tuesday. I hope I'll see you there!! Besides good diving, I predict a very exciting bikini situation....just a gut feeling but I'm pretty in tune with the scene so you might want to swing by and look for the Scubabus!

We're here for a couple of weeks more and we're doing a minimum of 3 a day so we have a few dives left in us.

We're doing Honolua in the morning and then mostly south beaches. Just exactly WHEN and WHERE might I explore the highly sought after bikini wrasse?

Al Mialkovsky:
highly sought after bikini wrasse?

Funny, both Fielding, Hoover and Randall seem to have missed that one... anyone have a picture of this elusive creature? What's the scientific name?

:)

I believe the correct name is something like, forgive the spelling, Tinybikinicoveringmuchgoodness or something along those lines.

I can't go to any south side beach without seeing that Shaka Diver bus. Doug was loading up as we were getting out of the water. He sure had a happy group of divers with him.

Oh, so it's not Thalassoma douglassi (Doug's Wrasse) or Thalassoma mialkovskus (Mialkovsky's Wrasse)?

:)
