Hello!

I passed my PADI Open Water course yesterday! :D I and four other students were certified at Morphie Lake in Mackenzie, BC. It was really sweet, except for having such a hard time sinking (too little weight :P). But all around, it was really fun and exciting.

Any suggestions for what I do next? :)

See you later,
Christian

Congratulations!!!! My suggestion is to dive as much as possible, and have fun doing it. With more practice your descent will improve. You may be kicking a bit while trying to descend, or not exhaling all your breath out of your lungs.

go for your advanced certification. I learned so much more and feel much more comfortable in the water. Buy your own equipment if you haven't already. For the first two years after my OW, I maybe logged 4 dives on vacation, but after recently buying my own gear (sans tanks), I have had been diving much more often.
