Hey all, PM me if anyone is up to meeting me at Gilboa next week any day (mon.- fri.) to get wet. Jwalko? Mental? Hoosier? Mitten? gxl? Let's do it!

Any day in particular?

Man I got the next to weekends off but I already have plans for both of them Sorry next time though.

Tough for me to get out during the week as well right now. May consider a weekend get together though. It won't be anything close to like it was diving in Curacao though.

Need to make some plans for early September, heading to Higgins. GTXL got your skis ready?

Skis are ready. I assume then that the four fathoms trip is not going to materialize??

No, let's pick a date and start the recruiting process. I will call you this afternoon.

Denny:

Just saw your post...sorry I missed you this past week...I was on vacation all week in S. Fla. Hmmm....I think you had better weather here than we had there...lots (i mean LOTS) of rain.

But, we did get out diving for a day and a half. Got to do some lobstering at the beginning of the season...didn't see much (lots of pressure at this time of year), but did manage to catch a couple. Buy, it was nice diving in 80 degree water w/ 40' vis.

I'll have to see if I can get a day off in the next couple of weeks and we'll set something up.

John

Sorry I couldn't make it last week Denny. I was just back from a trip to the St. Lawrence the week before and was still in recovery mode at work and around the house.

Last fri. Nate and I had a great day of diving. This was Nate's first trip to a Gilboa and I love taking first timers on a tour. Our first dive we did the plane, helo, tubes, and bus. The second dive Nate got a bag of fish food and we headed back to the bus where he experienced the "feeding frenzy"; I think he thought that was pretty cool.:11: We then headed on a tour of the Enchanted forest and that area. Our third dive we cruised along the southwestern wall in about 35-40 ft. and I was hoping we might get lucky enough to have Nate see one of the paddlefish---no luck on this trip. Nate's a new diver and really has his act together---at least he enters the water with his air turned on. (inside joke of which I am not going to elaborate) All in all, a great day of diving. You will all meet Nate at the upcoming Meet & Greet. I might make it out there again this coming Fri. as I understand there may be some friends there.:)
