I had mentioned earlier wife is certified but does not dive. Dubai is that by the mal dives. That seems like it is a 30 hour travel from LAX. Thats just to far.

Wakaya looks amazing. But at 1800 bucks per night for the cheap room I guess it should look that good.

So you want to limit the travel time? What's your range? That could trim the options a bit.
