I moved from Santa Cruz to Honolulu about seven years ago, and while I love living in Hawaii I do miss the Kelp beds

People here complain about cold water and poor (i.e. 30') vis and it only reminds me of playing hide and seek with harbor seals at monastery beach.

You just don't find such rich life anywhere like you do on the California coast.

Thanks. I've said for years: I love tropical water but miss all the life in the CA water column. For me, green water and kelp are just...cozy.
 
wah, wah, wah, my heart bleeds for you. Its 18 degrees f here, the water is under a minimum of 3' of some hard stuff....... get a grip man...
