Glad to see you back buddy. Big plus you organizing the trip to the Straights again... Can't wait!

Welcome back! Glad to see your smiling face back on the board. Hopefully we'll be able to join you for some quarry diving sometime before the snow flies :D Can't do the straights--bummer!

Glad to have you back. It hasn't been the same with out ya. I need to get my act together and get all my gear assembled so I can get out to the quarries soon. I really miss freezing my butt off.

I wish I could do the trip to Michigan but the purchase of a drysuit for me has been put off and I think that water is a little too chilly for me to dive wet. But you never know.

I dove MI wet last year....it wasn' hateful, but 20 minutes of BT on both the Young and Cedarville at 39 or 40 degrees was enough.

I dove wet last year at the Straits. I wore two 3 mil full suits plus hood and gloves and I have to agree with big-T. I'm debating whether or not to dive dry or wet this year. If I dive wet I will try a 5 mil suit with a 3 mil over that.

I'm staying dry.... have my new weezles to keep me nice and warm! Even have the socks they have! Hmmmmmm waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarm :D

The nice thing about diving that deep though, is 20 minutes put us right at RB for our AL80s and NDL limits on air anyhow. The only thing that would really "buy" me more time would be Nitrox, but then I'd be turning the dive on pressure, so I'd have no compelling reason to go dry.....yet.

I'm buying one more toy...errr, I mean tool this season and I'm not going to be able to make any trips b/c of it, but I'm going to get a lot of dives in at Gilboa.

Maybe next year I can buy myself a few trips and dive with the new toys I bought this year.

atleast you are allowed to get a new toy. I am getting no new toys and no dive trips. It kind of sucks, but I guess we had to sacrafice somehting for the house. One thing to look forward to is a place to put all the toys I have yet to buy. :)

What new toy--er tool did you get this year?

I would like to set up doubles this year and get into staged decompression diving but most of the money seems to be going towards other diving and non diving related expenses. May have to wait until next year.

BP/W (Oxycheq/FredT/Bob3 system)....and I'm in the market for a reg (used SP, and then some "big-T-ing" to make it what I want).....so.....life be good.

Look for some used AL80s....those make nice doubles IMO (aka...that's what I'm eyeing for next year)....you can charge them to 3000psi, have 155 cu. ft. of gas, and not be luggin assloads of weight around.
