If you didnt know the answer then it wasnt a dumb question.

You buy the regulator system in 5 parts. The first stage, second stage, alternate air supply, gauges, and inflator hose.

First stage usually comes bundled with the second stage and with a hose. The alternate also comes with a hose. The inflator hose usually comes with the BCD but you can buy it separately if you dont want to buy a BCD yet.

Hoses come in different lengths so you may want to ask what the lengths are but they are pretty much standard.

WC46:
When you order a regulator or octo do they come with the hose?

I so agree with the answer from member Partridge that I shall take it as my own! (Hey it works on CSPAN)

Great question, I loathe the detail in dive gear sales literature and company websites. It's frequently vague and incomplete.

Great point on the hose lengths. If you find yourself wanting something different ask and you can often swap at purchase and not end up with a $30+ oddball in your gear bin.

usually you get the hoses with the regs, and the lp hose when u buy the BCD. No such thing as a dumb question, well there is, its the 1 you DIDNT ask!

Usually if you order a second stage it will come with the hose, if you order just a first stage, probably not.

yes, usually...

there are no dumb questions only dumb answers

yes, when you buy a regulator set, it will come with a first stage and a second stage with a hose.

when you buy an octopus, it will come with a hose

generally speaking, a console will also come with a hose

that's not necessarily the case when you buy a pressure gauge by itself, though

the inflator hose comes with the BC or wings

So, how much is the add-on for a gauge console? (I know, it depends!)

WC46, thanks for asking this question. I'm in the market for a regulator, and it never occurred to me to ask. I was at the LDS tonight, but they didn't mention the fact that I would have to buy gauges. I had to ask about the octopus/alternate air source.

Not feeling good.:(
