I finally got some $$ back from the insurance company after the fire, so I ordered myself a new drysuit to replace my bbq'd one!

I got another DUI TLS-350, but they've changed the design, and I think I like it. The main change is the zipper - it goes from just at the shoulder (instead of over it), all the way down the front, and then around the back to about my spine. At first I thought it was a little weird, but it's actually easier to zip up than the old style.
The other thing about the zipper is that now the inner & outer zippers zip in opposite directions. You zip the inner zipper "down", and the outer zipper "up".

Also, the back of the suit is sort of gathered, which I am hoping will eliminate the bunchy-ness I get under my bcd sometimes.
I am sure there are other changes, but until I get in the water I probably won't notice them.

Anyhoo - just thought I would share!

PS - I also ordered a Olympus C-5050 & PT-015 to replace my SEA & SEA that got cooked too :)

Congratulations on the new suit. I'd bet you use it year around. I start my dry suit class today. Confined water on Saturday and the open water sometime in the spring, when the water is a little softer. We were going to do it this weekend but the instructors said the learning experience would be better if it weren't compounded by frozen water and below zero wind chills. I'm currently looking the different wet suit constructions and trying to figure out what will be best for me. Good luck with the new equipment

I'd like to recommend a couple choices for the warmest possible wetsuit; either a 7mm 1-piece "semi-dry" with attached hood or a "normal" 7mm 1-piece with a hooded vest underneath.
Either configuration will all but eliminate the nasty cold water down the back syndrome that sets the teeth chattering to the point of ratteling your fillings loose.:D
