Bummer! Someone already said brakes. I'll add seatbelt.
Oh, and a helmet also, even though that wouldn't have helped diddly squat for your injury. :D
Get well soon!

Holly cow Phil! I can't believe you broke your foot. you looked shook up but to have a broken foot and have kept your composure; your a tough cookie.

sorry to hear that, I hope it heals soon and you can get back in the water. I have added the first aid kit to the dive package. I can't believe I didn't have mine with me. What a dork! Take care of yourself!

The worst part was after we left I remembered the first aid kit I always keep behind my seat in the truck. When I left the ER I told Merry I was starring in the next Mummy movie.
And Mel, what is this "wetsuit" thing you speak of? :)
I made over 800 dives in wetsuits, including a few hundred wreck dives involving long deco. I still recall the shivering. At least this moves me up on the Dork Diver ladder.

Well, I am sure you can resubmit to Mensa....they wouldn't notice and as they age I am sure they will forget the rejected you once :D. I did something similar on a bicycle (on a gravel road) but thankfully it was before I statred diving so I was not as put off by it.

I wisah you a speedy recovery because I can only imagine the pain of not diving....well actually I cannot really dive in the winter months here so I definitely can imagine not diving (but not the broken foot).

Last Sunday the trail at Marineland was muddy. I hauled two sets of gear down the hill, only to find unfavorable dive conditions. After hauling the wagon back up the trail the tires were caked in mud. I decided to ride the wagon down a steep street to get mud from the tires. About halfway down I realized I was picking up too much speed. I tried to stop Fred Flintstone style, but rather then skid, my feet went under the tires, flipping me forward to the street. I tried to roll to avoid further injury, but the wagon on my feet stopped me from rolling. Even worse, I continued sliding about five feet. I
Not that there's anything funny about pain and injury but the mental image of the incident.:rofl3:

OUCH!!!! I am so glad you shared your experience with us. I like to put my dogs in the wagon after a long wagon pull along the beach...note to self don't sit on the wagon on downhill slope. I hope you recover quickly. Don't push the healing process, you want the foot to heal completely.

Hey! It that a water tank under the wagon?

I do feel for you. I've done some dumb things too. When I was a LOT younger, I broke my knee cap. That's when they put you in a cast from your bum to your ankle. Well, my frienda were going water skiing and I when I whined, said, we can put it in a garbage sack. Well, I did fine until time to dismount. The boat driver whipped me right next to the shore and missed. I lost the skii and hit a tree. My body wrapped around it and the cast knocked me out!

Yep - I do feel for you.
