I will say, though - if greeting is cutting into time you would otherwise spend diving, you need to greet less!!

In an ideal world it could take time away from diving but in reality there's no way that greeting will ever interfere with my diving.

I try to do that as best as I can, I know that it made me feel right at home when everyone stopped to say Hi.

It is a worthy cause, and I do know people appreciate it when you and El Orans and other folks say Howdy. I did.
