Been sitting in front of my computer for a week at home with my damaged ankle and knee. I am counting the hours until Monday when I see the doc again to find out if I'm going need surgery and when I'll be able to get back in the water. Moving around the house is a torture, so I've been spending my days in the home office. Now, it's Friday night and I really feel like a geek in front of the computer.;-0

I feel for you man. I spent 3 months in a full leg cast a few years ago and it sucks. I found that you can entertain yourself by being a crusty bastard all the time. It's quite fun and you have a perfect excuse. :tease:

.....you know.....the Iraq thing...it would take your mind
off sitting. By the way, we.....er, the coalition of the willing,
are winning!

:D

Being stuck at home is a bore, but the internet is a great tool. You can still hang out here with us.

One of my friends tore an Achilles' tendon a while back, and he was in varying levels of casts for about 6 months. His apartment was on a hillside, and there was no way he could get up the uneven brick stairs to the street or drive, at least with the full leg cast. His employer brought him a laptop and a fax machine, and he worked out of his home for a while. One of his strategies was to invite people over for dinner---and have them bring the food and wine. Party chez Arnaud, everybody!

P.S. If the cupboard is bare, check out www.vons.com and www.albertsons.com for grocery delivery.

Hey King of Troll!

Never had any doubt on the military outcome. And I won't say anything more...

Thanks, KM! I'll think about the dinner parties... For the grocery, my better half is handling. At least, she's supposed to. I have seen the supply level going down lately, though.

Reduced to a cyber diver... that sux.

Dude, hope you at least get a cool scar out of all this.

Mike Nelson has a few...

None of that sissy high-tech micro-orthoscopic-out-patient-surgery-nonsense. You know, with staples and internal sutures, operating with the aid of a light on a stick, and all that crap.

Go old school. I'm talkin' bone saw, here. Open it up, man, and dive in,m take a good look around.

Mike Nelson would.

Put that giant titanium knife to good use befor you eBay it for a real sissy DIR knife.

You need a good scar. Nothing pulls chicks like a good scar.

Let it bleed.

What Would Mike Nelson Do?

K

Pretty funny stuff. As for the knife, I don't have any. Never needed one. Not doing cave or wreck (especially right now...). Only thing I have to cut is the zip tie at the end of a night dive.

Nah, I think I'll go for the small scar. My wife wouldn't like all those chicks around me. Too many of them already :)

Your bored! Its been snowing here in New York State since the 1st of November 2002? Know what THAT does for our diving?
