The only real native North americans are the First nations so I guess thats why we all have "funny" names and not ones like , Joseph Hand shot off or Lisa Walks with a limp (BTW both are real names of Natives I have employed picking fruit.)

Fleming and Bell both lived in Canada as did Marconi. Marconi lived in Newfoundland for a number of years. I can understand that too the girls of Nfld are very special :) esp. Cornerbrook, Nfld

Actually, Bell did most of his work in the States, after he left Canada.

Fleming's work was all done at London University. What is his connection with Canada?

Marconi spent 1 year in Newfoundland. All his research was done in England. That is where he set up the company that is still called Marconi. He died in Italy, where he was born.

However, they were never Canadians, if I am not mistaken. I spent 18 months in Australia. It don't make me an Ozzie :)

A bit like Bill Clinton saying that the Americans invented the computer because Microsoft & Dell are American companies! :wink:
