From NMRoads
Interstate 25 northbound and southbound from Raton at mile marker 452 to 0.6 miles South of RATON PASS/PORT OF ENTRY exit at mile marker 460

CLOSURE: Interstate 25 from mile marker 452 to the Colorado Border in both northbound and southbound directions due to a fire. Emergency personnel are on the scene. Motorists are encouraged to seek an alternate route to go North bound. Will update the website as soon as information is received from the field.

Detour for I-25 CLOSURE in Raton: Motorists traveling southbound from Branson, Colorado into New Mexico, should take NM 551, then NM 456 at Folsom, NM, continue Southbound on NM 325 to Capulin, NM, turn right or westbound on US 64 to Raton, and southbound I-25.
Hoping for better news soon of course.

New Mexico updated yesterday....
ALERT REDUCED SPEED to 45 MPH due to low visibility along Interstate 25 Northbound from Raton at mile marker 452 to the Colorado State Line mile marker 460. Speed is being strictly enforced by NMSP and DPS along this stretch of Interstate. We will update the entry when more information becomes available.
No update today. Colorado opinions are theirs.
