Going to try & dive with Aquatic Safaries on the 19th of April to the dive sites of the Hyde & the Markham, both sites in 85fsw, but the tops are less than 60 ft from the surface.
There is a dive shop that booked the boat so Aquatic web site http://www.aquaticsafaris.com/ list 0 spots available, but go to RecTecs site Rec Tec Scuba Inc & they have 10 spots still open.
These are some good easy sites to get used to some off shore diving in North Carolina.

I dived these wrecks last June with Aquatic Safaris. Nice sites and great crew. The seas were pretty danged rough though. I still had a good time. Hope you have a great time.

Thanks Irish, I have been out with Aquatic on numerous trips, usually on the deeper end of the spectrum, though we haven't had much luck with the weather lately.
I also have been to these sites with a different operation, I believe it was also in June(must be something about that month) & we had 6-8 ft seas, all made it for the 1st dive to the Hyde, but the sea conditions got most of the rest & less than 1/2 the boat was up for the 2nd dive to the Markham. 3 of us made it in, & we never saw another diver until a DM showed up at depth to tell us the anchor line had broken & we needed to do a free ascent with a 3 minute safety stop & then they would do a live pick-up on us. Quite the adventure for sure.

That June trip wouldn't have been last year would it? That sounds just like my trip. Our anchor line got screwed also. Andre had to go down after the second dive to clean it up. I wasn't able to make our second dive due to the power of suggestion; half the boat spewed some real vivid "Technicolor Yawn" and I had to spend the rest of the time with my head under my towel and my reg in my mouth just so I didn't heave.:shakehead: :D

According to Rec-Tec site their are no more seats available for this trip. Luckily my wife and I booked a month ago. Does anyone know what the water temp is going to be?

I would think the temps should be in the lower 60s, hoping for higher, but probably not likely.
You are correct that this trip is full, some people must have jumped on late last week as I checked their site on Wednesday night & they still listed 10 openings.
Aquatic Safaries are also sending their smaller boat as well & I believe still have 2 spots available.

I was at Rec-Tec today and Becky stated that they have booked 2 boats for the trip. They have 21 divers for this trip. Hopefully you can find a seat.
