All of a sudden, I'm inspired to do a send up of the TLC song...

...no, I don't want no strokes
a stroke is a guy who can't ever dive with me...

ok, I'll stop now (I had more, but considered it far beyond the bounds of proper taste)

GUE does not use 25/25. They use 30/30, which is a perfect gas for Florida caves in the 100 foot range. 25/25 is better for open water diving in the 100 - 130 range. What's important is that the entire team has the same gas, and knows the decompression considerations for what they are breathing.

We mostly use the term "stroke" to refer to another DIR diver who is doing something silly.

The definition of stroke is a "knowone"

One that subscribes to learning to dive
within, their own limits, using the gear
that is available to them, utilising, any
teacher, to stroke them to achievement

Those defined by using that derrogation
are those that only permit

GLOBAL UNDERWATER EXTREMISM

and those that imagine only

DOING IT RIGHTIOUSLY

As extreme as fundamentalists
worldwide

It hurts the feelings of those it's directed at, and the instructors that created them.
