Am I just crazy, or is he about the second or third writer from Rolling Stone that has committed suicide?

He's originally from here (Louisville, KY), so they had a real nice write up in the newspaper. I'm a pretty big fan (as you can see by my signature) and one of my friends is a HUGE fan, she was really upset. It's a shame.

darn... this is really depressing. Thompson shot himself:

i loved Hell's Angels and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

also, he has an article, "The Song of the Sausage Creature," which is about
riding bikes, and i love it... awesome stuff

bummer

Sadly he's not the first, nor the last, besotted writer to take his own life. He had such talent, which evaporated in drugs and booze. RIP

Just Kidding. I felt like I needed to say something irreverent.

It isn't irreverent. But it was well intended.

How do you manage to maintain these provincial attitudes?
