I have a Hunter Pro Am 1050 drysuit. I just had a pressure test done and found out there is a small leak near the zipper. It's over $300 to replace the zipper. I'm looking for any good DIY tips on how to stop the leak. The suit is made of vulcanised rubber and I'm guessing it can't be patched because the leak is to close to or involves the zipper.

If the leak is on the zipper, there is no beating around that you can't patch metal teeth.

However, if it is on material, try a little dab of aquaseal on the inside of the suit.

Thanks, that's what I've heard as well. I also heard liquid electrical tape works.

Electrical tape be it liquid or not is not a repair it is a ghetto patch to get you in the water for "a single dive".

My suggestion would be to put your dry gloves on, and put a container in the neck with a couple zipties around it. Then pressurize the suit and spray dish washing liquid and water around the suit until you locate the leaks. Once located find a way to patch them, or if it is the zipper replace it. Dive Right In Scuba has the zippers in stock for a reasonable price. The new Tizips are becoming popular too. I have been using them lately for zipper repairs. A zipper on that suit should be easy to do.
