Has anyone used any of the “Topaz” zippers from eBay or Amazon to repair a drysuit? I’m working on an old Viking drysuit that I was given and need to replace the zipper. These Topaz zippers seem like copies of YKK or BDM zippers, and are marketed for drysuit repair, but I can’t find many reviews (good or bad).

I could buy a name brand zip from DRIS for about $190, but I’m trying to see if I can do this relatively inexpensively, just for fun. I’ve already learned how to replace the wrist and neck seals (successfully!), so this is the next piece.

Just wondered if anyone knew anything about these zips or had any experience with them.

Thanks!

Buy it, there won't be a better time to try installing a zipper.
