Hua Hin and Prachuap Khiri Khan Diving

Just wondering what the diving is like in Hua Hin and Prachuap Khiri Khan?

Also, how are the dive shops in those areas?

I searched once Hua Hin and didn't find a single one.
got told in Hua Hin is nothing to dive.
In Chumphon is the Chumphon Cabana and somewhere in the middle between Hua Hin and Chumphon should be also one, but forgot the name.

this side of thasiland is not nice, except further north, samui and islands around.
been there, didn't like it...

Absolut is in Baan Krut, I had some very enjoyable dives with them. Diving a tad better than the eastern gulf. No daily diving, based on customers booking.

Chumpon Cabana is just north of Chumporn, diving better a bit better than eastern gulf but not as good as Tao. Daily diving when in season.

Both are based on nice quiet beaches in relatively "remote" areas.

In Prachuap there are no shops but you can arrange to go out with the "aquarium" (Marine Research Centre) if you are staying in the area.
