I'm new to ScubaBoards, but have been diving since 1993. Originally trained as PADI Openwater and Advanced in the Mediterranean off of Turkey. Took PADI Rescue, Underwater Navigator, Underwater Photographer, Night Diver, Underwater Naturalist, and Equipment Specialist in the Azores, diving in the Atlantic. Finally started PADI Divemaster in Okinawa, Japan...but never finished for several reasons. Also in Japan, took IANTD Deep Air, NAUI Nitrox, NAUI Master Scuba Diver, and NAUI Asst Instructor. Plan to eventually finish my Instructor level certification, but right now I'm a student at Texas A&M at Galveston (Gig'em Ags!) studying Marine Biology. This semester I started Scientific Diving training and have trips up coming to complete AAUS certification. We'll be diving in Florida and the Yucatan to earn Cavern Diver ratings. After being in the Air Force for 10 years, I've decided that I really should be paid to go diving. :D

Howdy and welcome to SB!

Well at least you're a close drive to the Flower Gardens trips...

Good to have you here. Click here to PM me if I can help you get started in our various forums.

Which diving association you consider to take Instructor course?
