Just joined tonight and i want to introduce myself. Live in Seattle, been diving in around here since 89, except for a couple years i lived and dived in alaska.

I teach locally, am a volunteer diver with the local aquarium, and mostly I just enjoy being under water.

Most interesting dives: one at Sunrise beach in Gig Harbor where i saw a handful of wolf weels, 4 (four!) pacific giant octopi and a herd (school?) of dogfish; one at N 3 tree point when a small (6ft or so) 6 gill shark swam out of the gloom and circled my student and me.

Most significant emotional experiences: stuck against a cave ceiling at Ginnie Springs; temporarily out of air under the ice in a lake in the Cascade mountains; running out of air as a brand new diver and making a real CESA from 40fsw; saving a student's life.

good to be here.
