I do the way Boogie does it, except my corrogated hose is shorter, so there's no inner tubing below the bungee.

I do it the way Boogie does, except I have inner tube instead of bungee. Is there a supportable position that bungee is preferred in this role?

Only in so far as if you break the innertube, you have to rethread your entire webbing harness. If you break the bungee, you just tie on a new piece.

I should mention, Ben, that without the innertubing below the bungee, you run the risk of having something rub up against the inflator hose and disconnect it. The way I've got it rigged now that can't happen.

My bungee loop is bigger then any innertubing I've seen, and more elastic.

I suppose I do run that risk, but I can't imagine it happening?

Thank you all for the helpful advice and discussion.

I'm all hooked up with the bungee--but I failed to find the black rubber bands at an enormous hardware store. Are those bands cut from an inner tube?

Thanks.

You should have went to a bike shop! :) Just buy some Mountain Bike Inner tube and you have long time supply.

Thanks...that's what I thought...putting together this BP/harness/wing rig has made truly appreciate the simplicity and efficiency of my Scubapro Classic.

Thanks again!

I'm gonna pretend it didn't read that. :) Read my signature: "Don't climb the hill and be happy, happily climb the hill." Setting up the rig is funand interesting enjoy the learning process of it! Diving it is the pay off. Once you do that you will "let go" of your SP Classic. :)

Enjoy it!

I actually do enjoy it--it's just that I'm supposed to be finishing my doctoral diss and my wife is about to throw me and the rig out the door....in any case, I will dive the rig in Monterey Bay in two weeks...many thanks again!

Cali68...I see you're from San Jose...I'll need to drive from downtown SF to Monterey early Sunday morning (11/21) to catch an 8:30 a.m. boat--what time do I need to leave to arrive very safely in advance of departure, if I may ask? Any insights as to what I can expect by way of conditions at Monterey at that time of year? I know it will be cold--I'll be diving my old-style Parkway-Poseidon Unisuit, so I should be toasty enough. Many thanks again! Paul
