Correct - thanks Cali - the rubber bands that are on the corrugated hose.

The benefit to this set up is that

a) no, it doesn't flop around...
b) it still allows you to move the inflator hose around as needed, and
c) Perhaps most importantly, the bungee won't ride down the hose and potentially unclip your inflator nipple from the hose.

If i remember right it was uncle pug who told me to route the corrugated hose through the bungee but to route the LP hose on the outside of the bungee thus not allowing the bungee to slide down and undo the LP hose.

That's great because the corrugated hose doesn't get hung up on the bungee. Great idea. Boogie I know you are strictly a DIR diver so I mean no disrespect when I ask, Is it considered DIR or is it a variation?

BTW What I meant by flop around is when you are horizontal doesn't the inflator swivle down? My guess would be yes but not much.

That's what I do and I like it that way. I've tried Boogie's way and just didn't like how unsecure the hose felt.

Yep - just like he said.

Tie a knot in a piece of bungee so that it makes a loop about the size of a D-ring. Snip excess and melt the ends.

When you thread the webbing and place a D-ring and keeper on the left shoulder, install one side of the keeper, the D-ring, and the bungee - then the other side of the keeper to keep it all in place. Slide the bungee around so that the knot is either hidden or to the side of the webbing.

Slide the corrogated hose of your wing through that and it'll work great.

It's nice to see you around again.

I wondered what that smell was...

I do the way Boogie does it, except my corrogated hose is shorter, so there's no inner tubing below the bungee.

Yeah - the hose looks longer than it is only because the angle of the picture, if that makes sense. That is the standard inflator hose found on a Halcyon 55 lb Explorer wing. I know I hate long inflator hoses myself.

And Cali - it was a GUE instructor who showed me that way, so I would certainly hope it's DIR. :11:
