For all who are interested, TechTV's show "The Screensavers" just did a review of 8X internal DVD burners. I think all were under $150. If you have a laptop or want an external and you have USB 2.0 on your machine Belkin makes a housing that you can use with almost any internal CD/DVD burner or HD. The housing cost me around $50.
Just remember, the lifespan of DVD or CD disks is unknown. Check them regularly and reburn if needed.
