i've been re-working some old iDive (underwater iPad housing) prototypes the past few days, and have found that the most difficult and time consuming part of the work involves removing the silicone-based adhesive from the plastic molds that we made. does anyone have any tips for removing silicone-based adhesive from polycarbonate without destroying the pc? we've tried goo gone and razor blades so far. trying zippo lighter fluid later today. any tips are welcome.

You might try a decal remover wheel from a auto paint store. It is basically an "electric thumb" that you use with a drill to rub the adhesive off. Any last little bit of goo can usually be removed with 3M adhesive remover spray. Not sure it will work for your application, but I've had good luck with it on other hard to remove adhesives...
