Does anybody have any knowledge on how to get from Minneapolis to Roatan on a Monday that is reasonably reliable. I imagine there are some small carriers that don't show up the search engines. Thanks for any help provided.

Delta and United both land in San Pedro Sula around 11am on Mondays which gives you time to go to the 2 or 3 local airline's counters to purchase your ticket for one of their flights that fly to Roatan later in the afternoon. It makes for a full day of airports but is the only way on a Monday. You can negotiate the price down with them sometimes. Or go to cmairlines dot com to inquire and book online.

That's sounds better than taking the ferry.

Delta has a 5:25A flight that arrives in SAP at 12:16P thru Atlanta.
Sosa has a 3PM flight to Roatan - you'll be there 1/2 hr. later.

Ex next month based on shortest duration - also the cheapest:

The problem with the ferry is getting to the ferry on time. The last one leaves La Ceiba at 4:30PM so about the only way to get there from SAP is via private driver - even then it's cutting it close - it's a 2.5 hr. trip with no delays - not allowing for luggage recovery/customs/immigration in SAP. Cheaper to fly also I suspect.

So do you typically need to clear customs then recheck luggage with Sosa? Also do they fly out of the same airport?

Yes you will need to clear customs as that is where you are entering the country, Yes, Same Airport.
