one thing to try before returning is popping the o-ring off. That should decrease the pressure needed.

I bought a cable from the place in Germany as well after the cable that came with my Vyper Novov quit working. The cable from Germany is made better and is cheaper by the way. Like what has been mentioned previously sometimes you need to soak it to get a good connection. I have never had an issue getting Data Transfer to show on the computer screen, even with the defective cable. When it starts to actualy transfer data a line will run across the screen under "Data Transfer". I was really suprised how quickly my factory cable went bad.

How do I get one of these german cables?

Why do they even put an o-ring on the cable??? With it, I had no chance on connecting the cable to the Zoop. After removing it, I had zero problems.
