How to embed youtube videos

Thanks! Is there any way of using the embed code generated by another site to have videos appear inline in posts from services that don't have direct tag support? For example:

<embed src="http://blip.tv/play/hJIHgfLQNwA" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="960" height="570" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed>

No. Afaik we don't support flash embedding in posts. Or any other HTML based code. Most .vbulletin sites won't.

If we did you'd likely be seeing a lot more animations and flash based advertisements in posts here.

I also forgot that we now support Facebook video as well. http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/misc.php?do=bbcode#fv

It makes quite a difference if you are encoding using Edius or Compressor, on a PC or Mac.
For Mac users, I wrote this article some time ago and it works fine for PC or Mac, Vimeo or YouTube

Hey Mike. You are going to like Vimeo. Best thing about the site is the amount of quality videos there. Plenty of pro's, semi-pros, indie film makers. I've learned a lot watching all the quality stuff there. Great site to get ideas and be inspired.
