Not a good idea. You may send it into deco/error mode and possibly lock it up.
1. What algorithm will put you into deco after only 24 hours at 6ft? A 1.2:1 pressure gradient should never be enough for bubble formation. All the tables I have give NDL as practically infinite.
2. Even if it did go into deco/error mode it will recover after a period, normally 24 hours. Or you think that computers that have gone into error are disposable and you have to throw them away?
I was diving with a friend that lost their Suunto Mosquito on a wreck at 36m and the DM found found it next day after 26 hours at depth - now that was well into deco. Once the error cleared the computer went back to normal.
