Question How to check an analyser O2 cell?

Some guys use a clear water filter for a pressure pot, I used a piece of 1.25 ABS with threaded ends epoxy the wires into a hose barb and threaded it into the cap, (yes I know ABS is not pressure rated)

I agree completely that it's fun to muck around. I do it all the time. But I buy a new sensor first then muck around with the old one.
 
15 months is a little short for an analyzer. Fine for a rebreather.

I ordered the new sensor days ago. As soon as I get it I will not put it into analyser but put it into 3 bar pressure chamber, making a strong test. And I will put in here the old sensor as well, comparing to the new one.
 
If you’re readings seem off, it’s the sensor and divesoft would tell you to replace it. Mine recently went current limited. Changed it and all back to normal. Why screw around checking it? It’s acting funny, just replace. You have spent way more than the $89 cost of the cell on dive gear purchases you didn’t need.
 
I spent $2 to bring this 5th cell into my existing pressure chamber.

I am willing to spend much more to know about my cells, no matter if rebreather cell or analyser cell.
 
My divesoft cell basically crapped out overnight. It gave false readings, it would read air up to 40 ish % and 02 fine but nothing between 40-95%. Even with fresh calibration it reacted slow. New cell and was back to normal reaction speed and accuracy
 
I drove several tests with old and new sensors, very interessting results:
1) Linear from zero to 3.5 bar
2) Linear from zero to 1.5 bar
3) Linear from zero to 1.0 bar
4) Non linear right from zero bar

1 is perfect
2 seems to be OK in a rebreather but will probalbly fail soon. I kick it out. Perhaps it can be used in an analyser.

you check the mV output in 100% 1ATA O2 against the predicted output based on [air mV]/0.209 and the cell specifications.

Where do you look for those specs? My Palm O2 sensor is getting old, but it is still reporting what I expect. But it would be nice to test it.
