I just got my Oxycheq BP/W set up this week and am getting ready to dive it in the pool tomorrow. I know that I'm going to find that I have way too much excess webbing after I fasten the buckle around my waist. I'm wondering how much I should cut off and how much should I save? I don't want to cut too much off and find that by adding say, soft weight pouches that I needed to save a lot more of it to compensate. How much do you usually have hanging past your buckle or do you use something to clasp all the extra down?

I have quite a bit that goes past the buckle I just hold it down using a few pieces of bicycle inner tube cut in 1/4 inch strips to hold it against itself. Make sure that you can also adjust the sholder straps if you need to when you put on your heaviest exposure protection. I originally cut mine for my 5mil suit and then when I bought my drysuit I needed to get new webbing because the old one was too small.
