Aloha Everyone,

I thought I might share some of what I thought might be more interesting to talk about (other than Molokini Backwall thread :) ). These are some photos I have taken of turtles dozing off along the shores of South Maui and from the Saint Anthony wreck. Some of them are quite funny, and a couple I thought was very inventive.

This guy was at the top of the wreck.

Thanks for letting me share.

If they can't see my head then I must be invisible.

I'll never get tired of the turtles :)

Nice pics! Thanks for sharing.

OK if a turtle can fall asleep while holding it's breathe doesn't that indicate that it has sleep aphnea???

BEAUTIFUL!

I've found a new love and admiration for sea turtles. Why? Because I saw my first one ever (in the wild) this last weekend. Beautiful I must say.

He/she was so graceful as he/she took off to the surface for air. Not thinking it'd be back, I admired it while it left. Lo and behold, 10 minutes later, he/she was right under me about 4 feet away. OMG! I just hovered there admiring it. Love it love it!

Ok, I'll post more in my dive report about him/her. :)

Michael

By Gum, that's neat. How do you get so close without disturbing them?
