Had a scubapro 2g bite the dust a few weeks ago. We'll see what 'pro has to say about it.

RIP lil' buddy :(

My Petrel failed on me, the depth sensor went on it, reported the temp to be 400/F, and the depth was incorrect. Mailed it back to Shearwater they fixed it and mailed it back.
I now wear 2 dive computers just in case.

My $pro Galileo died during the dive some years ago. Took me a while to realize cause the numbers on the dis were just frozen. Luckily I knew that during that particular dive I never was below 30 ft so deco was no issue. Send it back to the manufacturer as it was still covered by the warranty. They replaced it, apparently there was something wrong with the main board. The problem was temperature related and showed not up at the surface. Anyway, I lost confidence to there products and sold the unit. Soon after I switched to technical diving and stopped using computers. Now I'm diving with two independent depth gauges and timers.

I believe in most cases the depthsensor of computers fails. I heard it from different brands.

My son's Oceanic died in less than a year after servicing. (Wonder if servicing was the issue). Mine is still fine. Same brand and model; bought at same time. I have a puck as well as my wrist computer.
