Been diving over eighteen years. Least number has been 35 in a year, most done was 109. Average 74 dives/49 hours UW per year.

Mainly saltwater boat dives, but some freshwater in winter.

Must log your dives if you're gonna have stats in a few years time.

Cheers,

Seadeuce

Last year I did over 350 but I think I'm averaging 275-300 per year. Since I dive for work, I get in a lot more than the average "non-professional" (ie not instructor, DM) diver. 100% salt water, mostly beach diving unless I'm traveling overseas.

Then again, I am aiming for *quality*...not necessarily quantity.
Humm.... I've never been able to figure out how to do that. Some of my favorite dives were a surprise, and in terrible conditions (low viz, cold water, fresh water, etc).
Oh yeah, in the last year about 160 dives, most in cold freshwater. Less in cold saltwater, and even less in tropical (28 to be exact).

I only started scuba diving in November 2003 and I just did Dive #38 the other day.......

So that was 6 months, over winter, and extrapolates to about 78 dives per year at the same rate. I'm hoping to cross the 100 mark before my 'certification anniversary' however.

I guess I've averaged about 150 dives a year. For the last 2 years I don't do as many dives but the dives I do are better and it probably works out to just as much time or more underwater.

With the cost of gas for the truck, the cost of breathing gas and the work involved in getting to the sites that I prefer I've been skipping weekends and night dives in the lakes and quarries to save resources for the good stuff.

100 Dives in 20 months. I will have 13 to 16 dives on a trip next week so I should average about 65 to 70 per year. I live 10 minutes from Laguna Beach and great beach diviing (except for this week whe the beach is red flagged due to 7 to 10 foot waves - gnarly dude!)

dives last year. 17 in Cozumel, all the rest in the Chicago/Lake Michigan area between May and October. 7mm wetsuit.

Am dry now so I hope to extend the season a little.

The cost is a bit of a constaint to me. A 2 tank Great Lakes dive is usually $80 - 90 for the charter. Local quarries are $15-20 entrance fees which isn't so bad.

I average about 60 dives a year, half on vacation and half in the lake of Geneva. Got myself a dry suit last year to make year round diving more bearable ;-) Most dive spots are within a half an hour drive, and divable from the shore.

On an average, since I got certified I have done an average of 75 dives a year. But if you count that I only dove about 20x in the first two years my current average would be about 140 dives a year....for now.
