You might ask your LDS if they could use a hand with their next class. I have been in the pool an extra 3 times since my classes ended, so far, and haven't had to pay for a thing. I just got back from 3 hours in the water and will be going back next Sunday forsome more. My shop encourages us to come help out. I think they figure they may get someone interested in going all the way to instructor that way, but it also helps the student to "instructor" ratio. We don't actually instruct, but we do demonstrate skills and it allows the classes to break into smaller groups when it is the students turn to perform a skill. What better way to assure yourself that you know a skill than to perform it for others.
For those concerned about someone (me) that does not have their cert. helping out, there are usually only 1 or 2 of us that show up and 3 or 4 people that are going for some higher cert. with a class of 6 to 12 people, so it isn't like a pool full of non divers helping out a bunch of non divers. Those of us that are new also have a great point of view about the skills because students believe me when I tell them that I was where they are just a month ago and they shouldn't expect perfection. I always ask them how many years they have been breathing on land and then how long they have been breathing under water. They always smile when they realize that the first number is in double digit years and the second one is in single digit hours.
Anyway, I kind of drifted here. The point is, see if you can get some free pool time by helping out. It worked for me.
