Just curious, what and how are people fitting anodic protection to scuba bottles?
Scuff the aluminum and hose clamp it in place.
 
These are what you want for Aluminum tanks in fresh water.
They come in a 36" strip and you can cut them into 6" pieces.

I thought that, in order to protect aluminium, you would need a less noble (more electropositive) metal to be corroded like zinc (sacrificial anode).
Why would the aluminium strip corrode and not the aluminium of the tank?
Unless you are talking about protecting a steel tank, in such case an Al anode would work (I believe).

Yes. I am sure about that.
 
A friend dropped a full 80% deco BO while loading on a boat and it was found over a year later. Aside for some growth on it everything was in perfect working order.
