I am lucky enough to live in South Florida. The closest shop to me is about a block and a half away. There are at least another 6(that I can think of) within 10 miles of where I live, which includes a Diver's Direct. Between the shops, I can get pretty much any brand of gear and have it serviced. I do have two shops that I use to service my gear, one for my Zeagle equipment, the other for pretty much everything else. Between the two, they also have pretty much any last minute dive item I may need.

10 km/6 mi. 5 more within 50 km/30 mi. (Is this oversupplied since we're an hour's drive from the nearest major open water site that's not a quarry?)

115 miles.

Interestingly, I have a dive shop less than 10 blocks from my house that I do not use. The one I do hang out at is closer to 10 miles away.

4 miles. It's also half way between the office and the house. Makes it easy to swing by after work.

17 Km away. The nearest town is 8 Km away.

3 miles, and I drive by another shop to get there.

These are the only 2 dive shops in a 3-4 county area. I think they are so close together because (a) it's close to the biggest city in the region and (b) the lower retail tax and lease rates in that area.

My affiliated LDS is 4.1 mi. I have two other dive shops near me at 8.8 and 11.9 miles.
