Cozumel is bracing for a tropical storm hitting it that has now turned into a hurricane, the weather maps shows it reaching as far south as Roatan, what is happening there?

For the past couple weeks, last week especially, we have been having a lot of rain, some with high gusting winds, this storm is likely to produce nothing even compared to the storm we had early last week that dropped over 7 inches of sideways rain that turned the whole near sea a nice Cafe Con Leche color , washed out some roads and left much of coxen hole, including the Hospital with a foot of water, So far it has been a very wet start to the rainy season that seemed to start in Sept. Those here and on other boards that try to say the rains are not an issue and it is usually at night, or a quick afternoon shower, Blah Blah Blah are obviously business folks
