How is the Atomic SS1 Air 2? Is it reliable?

My wife and I both dive with them, and we like them very much. They help keep you streamlined and don't have to mess around with the octo line. It breaths easy and works as advertised.

I did add a cheap Apex octo to my reg setup when I was doing my DM classes, so I could work with student divers and demo skills.

My family owns three SS1 units (mine, wife & daughters). They work great and we have had not problems with them whatsoever

Another great advantage is that the SS1 simply unscrews from the corrugated hose which make rinsing out the BC bladder after every dive day that this task actually get done.

The fact, that the SS1 can be unscrewed from the corrugated hose also makes packing easier and makes it less likely that the SS1 will get damaged.

I like them much better that the ScubaPro Air II that was on my old ScubaPro KnightHawk BC I used to own.

Two SS1s in my family. They breathe almost as well as the primary Atomic B2s, and the buttons are more logically configured, IMHO, than a standard power inflator.

I've recently switched to a separate octo, however, not because I was dissatisfied with the SS1. If you're going integrated, you couldn't make a better choice.

I have an SS1, it's awesome, I love it. It totally makes more sense than having a whole other regulator. Very streamlined, breathes very well. Get it, you'll love it.

I have the SS1 on my SP Knighthawk. The ability to unscrew from the corrugated hose makes rinsing a breeze!
