For those of you who celebrate it. What are YOU doing this July 4th?

I'm going to enjoy the 3 day weekend, hopefully get a dive or two in. Visit some family.

I guess no one is celebrating, Matt.

As for me, got too much to do to have fun. Least that's what the hubby keeps suggesting.... But I might sneak in some time on the lake in front of our house on my kayak or maybe a jet ski. If it's not too cold, maybe I'll even do some swimming. In the evening, the whole family will go to Spokane and ooh and aah over the fireworks, drink root beer, and come back tired.

Happy Fourth of July, everyone!

And this is my 250th post, so now I think I get rewarded with a half a star. LOL.

P.S. Yup it was just that fast. These guys really know how to set up a forum! :dazzler1:

That doesn't sound to bad at all, I know independance day is a n american holiday.... maybe there just isn't any patriotic divers on this board.

It's cold up here, but I got a 7/5mm suit that keeps me pretty warm.

Happy holidays all

Tomorrow I'm going golfing. I hope to be back in Bennington for a parade to welcome home a local young soldier who was wounded in Iraq.

Sunday my family is getting together for something. We haven't decided yet. But I sure it will involve sitting around the pool and partying. We have a nice little fireworks display put on by the Town. The reports off the mountains really intensify the whole thing.

Monday I want to move to camp. I want to build a new deck on the front of it. So if I stay there it is only an 1/2 hour drive to work. There will still be enough day light after work to get some building done.

I'll be watching the fireworks from the neighborhood next door. Last year the miscreants and parollee's shot up nearly 7 hours of fireworks and gunfire last year. Then on the 4th, it went on all day and well past midnight... I may even burn off some old flare gun shells and spend them since law enforecement seems to turn a completely blind eye to our area for several days.

We've had 2 weeks of rain but if the weather permits, there's a parade in town for the vets, new ond old. The fireworks started a few days ago but we'lkl spend the day at the lake Sun. then sit outside to watch fireworks over the tops of the trees.

Haven't decided about Monday yet.
