My closest dive site is a mile away, but my favorite site, Marineland is six miles. It can take as long as fifteen minutes in traffic to get there.

35 minutes to the airport!! 1.5 hours to Freeport to get on a boat to the Flower Gardens. That being said I have driven 10 hours (one way) to West Texas to check out San Solomon Springs!!

Eight hours from southern middle TN to Panama City Beach, FL. Other than that, there are several quarries around, but most of them close in the winter.
I drive 3.5 hours to Balmorhea for Open Water classes or club "fun" dives. I never thought about it being crazy. In West Texas driving long distances is just part of life. Otherwise I drive 3 miles to the airport, get on a plane and fly somewhere.

About 90 miles to Lake Rawlings, VA
Usually about 1 hour, but sometime I go to San Diego or Monterey and then it is up to 5 hours.
