So do you wear your weight in your BCD or on a weight belt or a combo of both. I just started wearing it all in my BCD and like not having the belt on.

So does anyone think there is a disadvantage to doing this?

I use a weight harness. I don't have a BC either.

Part of it's on my backplate ... the rest is on a weightbelt.

Back plate and wing ...

Plate is SS 6 lbs with a 6 lbs STA and I have 6 extra pounds in two separate pockets...which are ditchable.

Some in my trim pockets on my BC. some in the pockets and some on a wieght belt. I find I put over 4 pounds in each weight pocket of my BC they start to fall out.

1 belt

In the weight pockets of my Zeagle Stiletto. I only use 8 lbs and I tried putting all of it in the back but that tended to roll me too much. I put a 4lb weight in each front pocket now.

I find that weight integrated BCs work well up to about 10-12 pounds. More than that and they become too cumbersome.
