kensuguro:
thanks for info guys. I guess it's a good idea for me to stay put to calm the fish down. I have a D70, but that's totally for land use only because a housing for that's going to cost double or triple the camera itself! Crazy!

Goin' off for my first wreck dive today, will see if I can get any good shots.

This is one of the less expensive options for UW housings.

BTW, that Fantasea comes with a PORT!!

I really like the Aquatica, but add about $700, and it's difficult to say if it really will protect the camera much better as most housing failures are user errors. For the $1700 I doubt you get a port, so plan on an additional

I could swear I saw another UW housing for the D70 at under $1000, but I can not seem to find it, and maybe I'm just remembering the Fantasea.

get an E-300 dSLR -- no shutter lag.

I checked out the E300 a costco recently. I really did NOT like the viewfinder, and UW that would be an issue I think. The hosing is at $1000, and the guy who originally posted this already owns a D70 which is hands down a MUCH nicer, faster, cleaner and better camera vs. the E300 IMO.
