How do I stretch the chin on a new hood?

I just got one of the bargain Dive Rite hoods from Northeast Scuba Supply and it fits great everywhere but the chin. In fact, it feels like it might dislocate my jaw. Anyone have recommendations on how I might stretch it a bit for a better fit? Will it loosen up in the water?

stretch it over a tank and leave it like that for a few days... rinse repeat... until comfortable.

Put the hood over a two-liter bottle, and then stuff a small bowl in where the chin goes. Leave for a couple of days. Dive.
