First dive out of OW training, 80ft Oronogo.. would have gone deeper but my trusty flashlight was about bright enough to get lost in a closet.

why do you say that. I do not see why there is a different need in equipment beyond 40m... why not 30m, 25m...?Lobbster:dont forget, that diving beyoned 40 meters, with rec gear isnt tec diving. its just being stupid.
Fish_Whisperer:I guess there are a lot of people who are being stupid, then. Better call the scuba police!
-hh:The "deepest" question is generally a poor question.
A better question could have been "How deep have you gone more than once (or few times)?"
That would better tease out the guy who normally only dives to ~100fsw, but might have the occasional excursion to ~125 if something warrants it, which doesn't have much bearing to their personal depth record of ~150 on an AL80 from a decade ago.

Its all nice and greenish tho?Twiddles:101' to see what all the fuss was about. Turns out everyone was lying there isnt a dam thing down there but a bunch of feathers sticking out of the sand. Turned around and went back to 50' to swim along the reef where fun stuff was.
