Actually, I think its a Ben Franklin quote. I'll have to check on it.

The nerd in me made me check it out. It is actually a quote from Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes.
Also responsible for such gems as:
-The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye: the more light you shine on it, the more it will contract.
-Taxes are the price we pay for a civilized society.


And, of course:
-The right to swing my fist ends where the other man's nose begins.

Last year when Scuba board had their Turkey Fry on the beach, a crab boat went right over the top of our scuba board friends dive flags. Everyone on the beach saw it. They were not in boats but they all had the dive flags. He was not at idle speed or 25 ft from them. Just more Points to Ponder. Just wanted to throw it out there and see what everyone has to say.

There is rude and there is dangerous. I think that is an example of the latter. I had never thought of towing a dive flag while diving from a boat until I made a few dives in this area. After hearing a few motors go over my head it didn't take me long to realize it was a good investment. It has helped but I guess I still need to keep my "ears" open.
